The city of Saada (stronghold of the Houthis) witnessed bloody clashes between loyalists of the leader of the group Abdul Malik al-Houthi and one of the men of the Zaidi sect, Sheikh Mohammed Azim al-Huthi, in an indicator of the power struggle within the Houthis.

This provoked widespread anger by the Zaidi sect against the practices of the Huthi militia.

Some 40 gunmen were killed in conflicts between the followers of Abdul Malik al-Houthi on the one hand and the supporters of al-Houthi on the other. The al-Houthi militia blew up houses belonging to the latter's families in the district of Majaz and al-Qamadi houses after violent confrontations between the two sides.

Deductive deduction

Mohammed Abdel-Azim al-Houthi, the most prominent and most prominent opponents of the Huthis group since 2004, was expelled by the militia from Dahyan north of Saada and his house was destroyed because of his rival, the family of Abdulmalik al-Houthi.

In the view of Azim and the majority of followers of the Zaidi doctrine, that the Houthis form a different approach to the Zaidi sect, close to the doctrine of Imam and the mandate of the Faqih through his strong relationship with Iran and its Shiite authority, and in 2004, Abdel Azim must fight Houthis, considering that fighting is a legitimate duty.

Abdul-Azim al-Houthi said that the bandits, spoilers in the ground, did not build a mosque or a road or a school and did not do an interest.

He called for his victory after the killing of Huthis to a number of his students, in Saada by the Houthis.

Thus, researchers classify the Houthis as the extreme version of Zaydism, the last of which consists of three groups.

The most important of these are the "Al-Jarudiyyah", which differed from the Zaydi sect in the requirement that the imam be from the Batniyyim.

They also said that Ali's mandate is based on a hidden text, Explained by the Yemeni researcher «Zaid al-Wazir».

Today, the Houthis seek to restore the rule of the Imamate in Yemen. They believe that the caliph should be Hashemite.

Identity of Yemen

The Yemeni researcher Mohammed al-Taher said that the internal fighting between the militias of Houthi and 'Azim al-Houthi' is a dispute between the extremists (Abdul Malik al-Houthi) and the moderates (Abdel-Azim al-Houthi) «Ansar Allah» known as Houthis, and even the killing of former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh, as described by «Tahir».

Al-Taher said in a statement to the «reference», that what the Zaidi community experiences of the Houthi differences is very similar to and coincides with the differences that took place between President Saleh and Al-Houthi, although the lack of quick action of the Arab alliance led to the resolution of the conflict in Sanaa.

The Yemeni researcher stressed that «Azim al-Houthi», is the moderate and rejection of the «Khomeini» (a reference to Mousavi Khomeini, the leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran), and called «Azim al-Huthi» much to meet the sons of Badruddin Houthi.
