Syrian mercenaries into new tricks to escape Libya
Syrian mercenaries in Libya are into a new trick to return to their country.
They are fabricating
reports about their health condition to disqualify for their presence in the
battlefield in Libya where they were brought by Turkey to fight alongside the
troops of the previous Government of National Accord (GNA) which controlled Libyan
capital Tripoli.
Deep under the desire of
the mercenaries to leave Libya and return home is the failure of the GNA to pay
them their overdue salaries.
The new technique by the
mercenaries also shows that those who brought them to Libya do not have a plan
to take them out as agreed, according to some rights groups.
They revealed that one of
the armed factions operating in Syria is now preparing a new list of
mercenaries who will receive training in the coming period before they are
flown to Libya.
There is anger,
meanwhile, among the Syrian mercenaries because of the failure of the
authorities in Tripoli to pay them their salaries, ones they agreed with their
Syrian commissioners.
Some of the mercenaries
have to grease the palms of their commanders to speed up the payment of their
salaries.
A few days ago, two
Syrian NGOs revealed that some of the mercenaries had been swindled by their
commanders in the Free Syrian Army which is backed by Turkey.
They added in a joint
statement that the commanders had stolen the salaries of the mercenaries.
