Brotherhood penetrates American society on shoulders of marginalized and minorities
The international Brotherhood organization has been able to
build multi-active and powerful institutions in the United States through which
it manages its files that it wants to promote according to its own agenda.
The group's institutions in Washington focus on the Muslim
community and minorities by means of their social and ideological inclusion, as
well as on issues related to their exposure to racism and marginalization by
the administrations of various institutions in the country.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) works to
exaggerate the misunderstanding of the conditions of religious and ethnic
minorities in Washington in order to include them in its active community in
the region.
America’s marginalized
The latest updates adopted by CAIR show that the
organization promotes itself as a defender of Muslims around the world,
regardless of the apparent selectivity in the facts it chooses for media
marketing.
On July 21, CAIR issued a semi-annual report for 2021 that
includes more than 500 cases of racism against Muslims as well as incidents of
Islamophobia in the United States, most of which revolve around cases of
bullying against Muslim students, in addition to incidents of political and
social discrimination and hate crimes.
CAIR’s report indicated its keenness to defend the Muslim
community and minorities, but the most dangerous fact in this file remains that
the group exploits these criteria only as a manifestation of its political
agenda aimed at spreading itself among the society so that it can build popular
bases that can be exploited when needed in various political situations.
Regarding the methods of the international Brotherhood in
employing these ideologies to serve its goals, Said Sadek, professor of
political sociology at the American University in Cairo, said in previous
statements to the Reference that Islamist movements exploit the weakness of
some social groups and their need for humanitarian and economic support to win
them over to their ranks and create a state of gratitude towards the
organization for its own political benefits.
Minorities
The Brotherhood realized the political benefits accruing to
their movement from exploiting the problems of minorities since their merger
with the Black Lives Matter campaign that fueled widespread protests in the
United States against the background of the killing of African-American citizen
George Floyd at the hands of the police. This merger led to the popularity of
their trend among the African minority communities in the country, which was
evident in the referendums and opinion polls that the group promoted about the
impact of the demonstrations on the chances of former US President Donald Trump
continuing in office, as the group’s campaigns showed an influence of their
ideas.
Consequently, the mutual response processes demonstrated by
the protests between the Brotherhood and minority groups, as well as their
campaigns about the necessity of voting massively among Muslims and Africans to
guarantee their rights in society, showed the group’s growing influence among
the ranks of the beneficiaries of its activities, which the group has become
aware of and is focusing on developing its tools.
The group’s reports on human rights are directed towards
special classifications related to their international interests, as it focuses
on the file of minority rights in various regimes it opposes to a greater
extent than others, such as the Middle East countries that have designated the
Brotherhood as terrorist, such as Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, in addition
to focusing on the actions of US representatives opposed to the terrorist
group, such as Republican Senator Ted Cruz.
