The international organization of the Muslim Brotherhood expands the scope of its activities in the United States through a network of institutions.

These institutions ride the crest of a wave of popularity, thanks to their success in infiltrating minorities.

They also succeed in using political developments in the US in ways that serve the general cause of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated institutions also use rampant 'Islamophobia' in the American society to masquerade as victims, which makes some people sympathize with them.

The same institutions were able to build a media network it uses well to spread its ideas and ideologies in society.

The network targets political decision-makers and some activists around the world.

The Brotherhood has strived to exploit pluralism and openness in the US to build an intertwined empire in the various American states.

Human rights issues

During the past months, the US went through major events that cast a shadow over the course of political action in the country.

The international organization of the Muslim Brotherhood was able to employ these events to make gains.

Most outstanding among these events was the killing of American citizen, George Floyd, at the hands of American police during a violent raid in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on May 25, 2020.

The group interacted with Floyd's killing at various levels.

On one hand, it doubled its calls for donations for the 'Black Lives Matter' campaign which was launched in conjunction with the incident.

However, the invitation was aimed at raising funds for the Muslim Brotherhood, not for the campaign.

The Muslim Brotherhood called on its supporters to donate for people of brown skin.

It also launched another dangerous campaign at the beginning of the crisis to raise money for those arrested during the demonstrations that followed Floyd's killing.

The group used the media websites of its institutions to spread invitations for donation.

The Council on American Islamic Relations also played the most prominent role in this regard.

It published on its website calls urging its supporters to donate money.
