A year of bloody events in Yemen
Yemen went through a large number of tough events in 2021, especially as the Iran-backed Houthi militia tried to expand its control in the Arab country.
The militia is being abetted by the
branch of the Muslim Brotherhood in Yemen.
The Brotherhood helped the Houthis threaten
Yemen's security and stability and capture more Yemeni territories.
In this, the Brotherhood encouraged
the militia to implement the scheme of Iran's mullahs of exporting Iran's Islamic
Revolution to Yemen.
The fact is that the Brotherhood
helped the Houthis turn Yemen into an Iranian province.
Nonetheless, the Yemeni army which
gets support from Yemeni tribes and the Saudi Arabia-led coalition works to
prevent the Houthis and the Brotherhood from implementing their plan to the
full.
Meanwhile, ordinary Yemenis express anger
at the crimes of these terrorist organizations and their control over their
country.
They do this by staging protests in
most Yemeni provinces where they reject corruption in Yemeni institutions and deteriorating
economic and living conditions.
Yemenis also denounce the collapse
of the local currency.
Year of bombings
The year 2021 can be called one of bombings
and terrorist attacks in Yemen.
The current capital, Aden, witnessed
three explosions at varying intervals in which Houthi elements participated.
The first of these bombings took
place in early January 2021, when mortar explosions rocked Aden Airport exactly
when the plane of the new Yemeni government touched down.
This bombing left a large human toll
behind.
The second terrorist attack took
place on October 10, when a car bomb targeted the convoy of Aden Governor, Ahmed
Hamid Lamlas who was in the company of Minister of Agriculture, Salem al-Saqtri.
This attack also left a human toll
behind.
