Iranian militias tightening their grip on Lebanon
The terrorist arms of Iran continue to threaten the stability of the region. Lebanon is at the heart of all this.
This Arab state is plagued by the
Hezbollah militia which is backed by the mullahs' regime in Tehran.
The Kuwaiti foreign minister
delivered a message to the Lebanese government, in which he demanded ending
Hezbollah's control over political decisions in Lebanon, marginalizing and
disarming it, in return for lifting international sanctions on Lebanon.
The message amounted to a message
from the international community to Beirut.
However, the official Lebanese
response came in the form of some constructive phrases.
They included President Michel Aoun's
reiteration of his country's openness to Arab moves that would restore Lebanon's
relations with the Arab Gulf states.
The Lebanese president also said
that his country is committed to the Taif Agreement and relevant international
legitimacy resolutions.
Iranian response
Before the
Lebanese foreign minister arrived in Kuwait with the official response to this
international initiative, it was noticed that Iran had given a practical
response of objection to attempts to communicate with Lebanon.
The Kuwaiti paper had called for
adherence to international resolution no. 1701, which is implicitly based on
the content of previous resolutions, including Resolution no. 1559, which calls
for the disarmament of militias.
Nevertheless, the Lebanese state now
finds itself under the hegemony of Hezbollah and its weapons.
The residents of southern Lebanon
were incited to attack international troops in the south for the third time
within a month, especially in the Qana and Shaqra.
As usual, President Aoun promised to
open an investigation into the attack.
Nonetheless, such investigations do
not reach a conclusion as usual.
Tehran also moved and its militias
in Yemen, the Houthi terrorist group, bombed the UAE capital Abu Dhabi before
the Lebanese response arrived in Kuwait, after Hezbollah leader, Hassan
Nasrallah, launched an attack on the Arab Gulf states in a party that included
representatives of the Houthis in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
Hezbollah hosts two television
stations for the Houthis, and even participates in supporting the Houthis in
training, fighting, and launching Iranian drones against the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia.
