Russia throwing Ukrainian crisis in NATO's court
Renowned journalist and Chairman of the Board of al-Bawaba News, Abdel Rahim Ali, said ongoing incidents in Ukraine throw the Ukrainian crisis in the court of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
"This
is not a full-scale war," Ali wrote on the social networking site,
Facebook, Feb. 24.
He added
that Russia prepared its list of targets in Ukraine very thoroughly.
These
targets, he added, include military ones and intelligence infrastructure.
"So the
message would be delivered in a clear and an unambiguous way," Ali said.
"There can
be no compromise on Ukraine's accession into NATO, even if this leads to a
third world war."
He referred to remarks by Russian President, Vladimir Putin, that his country has no need for a world that has no place for it.
