Al-Qaeda leader out to attract new recruits from other organizations
Al-Qaeda has been stepping up the use the videos of its leader, Ayman al-Zawahiri, for some time now to serve its future agenda.
The terrorist organization
apparently wants to make up for the defeats it has been suffering in some of
the areas where it is active, especially in its main stronghold, namely
Afghanistan.
Al-Qaeda recently released the
fourth episode of a series of videos entitled, the 'Deal of the Century or the
Campaigns of the Centuries'.
In this episode al-Zawahiri signals
his organization's desire to compete with other terrorist organizations and
calls for new recruits to join in al-Qaeda.
The al-Qaeda leader also alludes to
his organization's desire to co-opt the fighters of other organizations.
Jurisprudential polarization
In this latest episode, al-Zawahiri
pays attention to the doctrinal discourse of his organization.
He reveals a smoldering competition al-Qaeda
is waging with other extremist groups over the identity of people who
constitute the target audience of the Takfiri current.
Al-Zawahiri says his organization
enjoys a political and ideological rank higher than the other organizations.
He indirectly refers to completion
with other organizations, such as ISIS and Taliban.
The al-Qaeda leader also speaks
about Muslims' need for a leadership that adheres to the jurisprudential rules
of the Islamic religion.
This leadership, he says, should not
give it up in exchange for political gains, however big they are.
He accuses the United Nations of
violating the provisions of Islam.
Al-Zawahiri says the UN Charter does
not conform to the provisions of Islam.
He also accuses the UN of wanting to
impose homosexuality on Muslims, noting that the world body does not have
respect for the freedom of faith.
