Islamic Universities League to participate in Islamic unity conference in Mecca
The League of Islamic Universities will participate on
Wednesday in an international Islamic conference to be organized by the Muslim
World League in Mecca, Saudi Arabia under the theme "the Islamic unity and
risks of classification and exclusion".
In a statement on Friday, Assistant Secretary General of
the Islamic Universities League Ismail Shaheen highlighted the importance of
the forum, which stems from the need to deepen the bonds of brotherhood among
the Muslims and refuse a discourse which promotes classification and exclusion.
He also shed light on the importance of the Islamic unity,
expressing hope that the conference would represent a step towards achieving
such unity through discussing obstacles facing it and means to overcome them.
