Iraqi army artillery shells positions for Daesh inside Syrian territories

The Iraqi Army artillery shelled positions for Daesh terrorist group inside the Syrian territories, leaving scores of terrorists killed, reported al Iraqiya TV quoting a security source.

The source, who declined to be identified, said the army artillery carried out the attack upon a tip-off to the Iraqi intelligence on the whereabouts of Daesh militants, including top figures in the organizations.

The source said security situation in Qaem neighborhood, adjacent to the borderline with Syria, is stable and no terrorists threats have been reported so far.

Meanwhile, Iraqi security forces have taken all precautionary measures in anticipation of any threats or emergencies.
