Yellow vests changed globalization concept, says French writer

A French writer said Wednesday that the yellow vest movement had changed globalization as a concept.

Christian Jambouti, who is specialized in African affairs, added at a conference in French capital Paris on similarities and differences between the yellow vest protests in France and the Arab Spring protests in the Arab world that China had criticized the yellow vest protests and called for opening borders.

Opening the borders, he said, will give us the chance to view the enormity of the conflict between the US and China, but this time on French territory.

Jambouti said some African leaders sympathized with French President Emmanuel Macron.

Others, he said, opposed the French president.
