President of Sudan Omar al Bashir stressed on
Thursday his country's firm stance on Arab and Islamic issues.
Arab and Muslim countries are under many threats,
Bashir said in his address during the 45th graduation ceremony of the Sudanese
Armed Forces' Command & Staff College.
He also laid an emphasis on the political and
economic blackmail exercised by some states over Arab and Muslim countries,
noting that those countries seek to bring ruling Arab and Muslim regimes to
their knees to gain control over their peoples' wealth.
Bashir asserted his country's commitment to
strengthening the Sudanese army to enable it to shoulder its responsibility for
establishing peace and security across the region.
