Austrian min. expects successful Arab-European summit in Cairo in Feb.
Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl expected the
success of the Arab-European summit due to be held at the Cairo-based Arab
League on February 24-25.
In statements to MENA on Tuesday, Kneissl said
Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz will take part in the event, noting that
there is cooperation and coordination with the Arab League and AL Secretary
General Ahmed Abul Gheit.
She also underlined the deeply-rooted ties between
the AL and the European Union countries, citing high-level coordination not
only in the terrorism and illegal immigration scores, but also in the economic,
political and culture domains.
She said the summit is expected to promote
Arab-European cooperation in various fields.
She referred to the success of the Africa-Europe
Forum which was held in Vienna in December.
