Libya's SCMD disbands itself after Haftar's attacks

The
Shura Council of Mujahideen in Derna (SCMD) has decided to disband itself and
join Derna Protection Force in the wake of consecutive offensives launched by
forces led by Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar.
SCMD
spokesman, Attia al-Shaeri, said in a video statement that the organization's
members would join the Derna Protection Force.
Field
Marshal Khalifa Haftar, the commander of the Libyan forces, launched attacks to
free Derna from the terrorist SCMD, which emerged in 2014.
