“Brotherhood eating itself”, MB leader describes Mounir Wanda as priest of Satan
Five years ago, or slightly more, President
Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the then defense minister, responded to the Egyptians'
desire to get rid of the rule of the Muslim Brotherhood (1928), led by Mohamed
Morsi, in order to save Egypt from the reign of that group which was based on
intimidation. The group was seeking to create strife between the Muslims of
Egypt and its Christians, as well as was conspiring with foreign countries, including
in the foremost Qatar; to sell and divide state land, and spread chaos and
terrorism in the country.
Egypt's success in fighting the Brotherhood's terrorism was not only military, but Egypt was able to prove to the world that the group was promoting extremist terrorist ideas, which led to the group being abandoned and many people starting to stop supporting it.
In an attempt to improve the group's image and remain unaffected by the trauma it has faced over the past period, Ibrahim Mounir Ahmed, deputy leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, appeared in a television interview with Watan TV, one of the media outlets of the group. During the interview, he said, "The popularity of the Brotherhood is increasing, and the attack on the group does not weaken it, and all attempts to eliminate the group will fail."
Mounir claimed that the Muslim Brotherhood does not support the extremists as is being promoted, but it supports the legitimacy, and seeks to spread Islam, which many want to erase, and eliminate. He added, “Talk about the end of the Brotherhood is a sentence being repeated since the era of Nasser”.
The priests of Satan
While Mounir was defending the group, there were those who criticized his actions. They even attacked the MB’s deputy leader, and a number of other leaders of the group. The important thing here is that this attack came from members of the Brotherhood who were making use of its efforts to defend the group and its ideas. Omar Abu Hashem, former head of Mansoura court and also known for his support to the MB, said, "Ibrahim Mounir, Yusuf Nada and Mahmoud Hussein are the priests of the devil.”
"They are like Hassan al-Sabah, the founder of the Hashashin state, and Hamdan bin al-Ashath, the leader of Qaramitah, and all of them are the faces of one coin. They are the priests of darkness, and are carrying the devil’s theology," Abu Hashem, who is a fugitive in Turkey, said on his Facebook page.
He said: "Ibrahim Mounir speaks from Mars, and when you cannot understand his words, you will find the next day who tells you that he does not represent the community. And when Youssef Nada speaks to you from Jupiter, you will find who will reassure you that his personal opinion does not reflect the group. And when you listen to Mahmoud Hussein from Venus, you will find those who do not agree with him, and say that the group does not agree with him,” he added.
The MB member, who is a fugitive in Turkey, described the group as being managed by unknown power. He asserted, "The Brotherhood works on misleading its followers and pushing them to death.” He added that the encoded gelatinous idea inhabits burrows and canyons, walks labyrinths and reefs, walks at night while people are asleep and hides in the world of talismans. It is also based on puzzles and its effects are similar to the effects of opium drug. It makes you fly in the sky without wings. You will never see any good from it because it is the product of darkness, which fears the morning light.
Internal divisions
Dr. Khalid Al-Zaafarani, a researcher in Islamic movements, said that the statements made by some leaders confirm the extent of the division experienced by the group, and the difference between introducing a number of new ideas to attract and satisfy young people and maintaining the same old ideas that have not changed. The statements are also still asserting that they are the survivor segment and that they are brothers of the Prophet and his group.
Al-Zafarani said in a statement to the “Reference” that the group does not abandon the idea that they the first defender of Islam, while they have abused the religion significantly. Moreover, the denial of them comes in the interest of religion. He stressed that the group is on its way to being eliminated because they did not present new ideas, and still adhere to the ideas of Sayyid Qutb and Hassan al-Banna which are characterized by solidity.
The researcher pointed out that the division suffered by the group is caused by differences of opinion, and the formation of fronts parallel to the group. Such fronts are draining the MB, gradually eliminating it, and over time the group will disappear and end.
