Doha Forum: Qatari tool to support the Brotherhood and the mullah regime
The Qatari regime, headed by Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, used
the 2019 Doha Forum as a platform to talk about countries accused of terrorism
and to discuss how to end the sanctions imposed on them, by hosting
personalities with close links to terrorist groups, led by the Brotherhood.
As is the norm for conferences and forums held by Qatar and
Turkey on various occasions, the goal remains one: to gather the diaspora of
the terrorist Brotherhood group and to provide support for the Iranian agenda
that serves the interests of the Qatari regime, especially after the Arab
boycott announced by Egypt, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
Doha’s guests
The Qatari regime was keen to gather the largest number of personalities affiliated with or sympathetic to the Brotherhood. On the sidelines of the forum, Qatar’s emir met Fayez al-Sarraj, head of the Presidential Council of Libya’s Brotherhood-affiliated Government of National Accord (GNA), as well as Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and Defense Minister Hulusi Akar.
These meetings were not free of talk about the means of Qatari and Turkish support for Brotherhood entities, as the meeting discussed practical steps to implement the security and maritime memoranda of understanding signed by the two sides recently, as well as the developments of political and security conditions and international efforts to resolve the crisis in Libya, according to what the GNA announced in its Facebook page.
Doha’s permanent guest, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who had previously cried over reports of US efforts to classify the Brotherhood as a terrorist group, also attended the forum to highlight the clear alignment between the two sides that spread the extremist ideas that caused chaos and wars in the region. This comes in the face the Arab countries that seek to cooperate with the international community to combat the terrorist phenomena and its financing, and to restore security and stability.
During the opening of the forum, Emir Tamim bin Hamad announced that Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad was chosen as the Personality of the Year, especially since the latter announced a mini-Islamic summit will be held in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur on December 19 with representatives from five countries: Malaysia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Qatar and Turkey.
The exclusion of both Egypt and Saudi Arabia from the Malaysia summit in a few days cannot be considered in isolation from Mohamad's statements to the Qatari channel Al-Jazeera that the aim of the summit is to discuss the conditions, problems and challenges of the Islamic Ummah, which includes about 1.7 billion Muslims, saying that he believes in small beginnings.
Iran and Iraq’s militias are on the table
As an opportunity to consult among those who share common interests, the Doha Forum brought together the leaders of the Iraqi militias loyal to Iran and Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif with the head of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), national security adviser Faleh al-Fayyad, in the Qatari capital just days after Washington included the names prominent Iraqi militia leaders on the sanctions list for their involvement in quelling protests and corruption issues.
The Iranian Tasnim news agency revealed that the meeting held between Zarif and Fayyad discussed the latest developments on the Iraqi scene, at a time when resigned Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi denounced the meeting as an attempt to evade possible American sanctions against them because of killing Iraqi demonstrators in the protests that erupted in the country since the beginning of October by coordinating with Doha after previous Qatari mediators succeeded in removing the names of some officials close to Tehran from the decision-making authority in Baghdad in exchange for their exclusion from the sanctions.
Tamim’s scandals
The Qatar opposition website Qatarileaks said that Tamim bin Hamad honored the prime minister of Malaysia after the latter’s defense of Iranian terrorism at the Doha Forum, where he was awarded the Personality of the Year award, revealing the Qatari regime's intentions to defend its allies in the axis of evil that includes Turkey and Iran.
The Malaysian prime minister implemented what was agreed upon with the Emir of Qatar, that it is necessary to talk about the US sanctions imposed on Iran and that they violate the Charter of the United Nations and international law, according to special sources for Qatarileaks.
Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad’s speech included points that Tamim had asked him to include in his speech at the forum, where he said that Malaysia and other countries have lost a large market due to the sanctions imposed on Iran, Qatarileaks confirmed, stressing that unnamed sources revealed that the Malaysian prime minister not only received the honor but also received many luxurious and financial gifts. However, this is not the first time that Mohamad received gifts from Tamim bin Hamad, as the latter had already given him sums of money at the beginning of the year.
The Qatari emir asked the participating countries to focus on the sanctions imposed on Iran, ignoring the violations committed by the mullah regime, its failure to respect international treaties and covenants, and its support of armed militias in Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon and Syria.
Overt deception
In July 2019, Qatar invited members of the Brotherhood to attend an international conference known as the Muslim Youth Forum, as Doha continued to support the international terrorist organization the Qatari regime’s project in the region.
Arab media reports revealed moves by Doha to host a youth forum that includes leaders of the Brotherhood in Qatar, where the participating groups chose the youth and organized training workshops for them similar to the Brotherhood’s advocacy and training camps.
The previous forum carried the slogan of “The Ummah with its youth”, derived from the Brotherhood’s literature. At the top of the forum’s priorities was to strengthen the sense of leadership and control as a religious duty and an urgent political necessity.
Doha was keen to train the participating youth to learn the methods of drafting decisions and approvals, and how to impose opinions and gain the support of others for the ideas presented, which is an ancient method among Brotherhood-related groups that train elements in a discourse based on attracting attention and trying to pass positions and decisions by deluding participants with kindness, religiosity and seriousness.
Among the Brotherhood-affiliated entities that were interested in promoting the Doha Forum was the World Union of Muslim Scholars, which is classified as a terrorist organization.
Qatar has made the Muslim Youth Forum a way to attract youth from other countries to join the terrorist organization, in an attempt to restore the group’s spirit and ensure its continuation in light of its international besiegement, as it is considered a weapon in the hands of the Qatari regime to destabilize security and stability in the region.
Qatar was not satisfied with training in methods of infiltration and control of institutions, but rather sought a wider simulation, that is playing the roles of leaders in preparing draft decisions, and in a second stage training on the adoption and announcement of those decisions, which means training in long-term penetration, which overall could be good if not for the Brotherhood affiliation.
