All assailants who attacked Erbil City Hall killed

A governmental official in Iraqi Erbil governorate
said Monday that all gunmen who stormed the City Hall earlier in the day were
killed.
A police personnel was severely injured, he noted.
The Iraqi security forces liberated all the hostages
inside the building, al Ikhbaria al Iraqia TV channel quoted the authorities as
saying.
Erbil commander stressed that three gunmen belong to
Daesh terrorist group stormed the building, while the security forces evacuated
the streets surrounding the building located amid the crowded city.
The assault is considered the first one in Kurdistan
Region since Iraq declared a massive operation against Daesh organization in
December, 2017.
