Renewed clashes in Yemen between army, Houthis: Militias have great losses
Death burners
Yemeni Information Minister Muammar Al-Iryani
said on Wednesday 5 February 2020 that military leaders and experts from the
Lebanese "Hezbollah" and Iran have fallen in battles with the army
forces while supporting the "Houthi" group.
In a statement to the official agency
"Saba", Al-Iryani explained that "the Houthi militia continues
to put its elements in the crematoria of death without concern for their lives,
and their families are deluded that they achieve great victories."
He stated that the National Army, with the
support of the Arab coalition, fought "face to face with the mercenaries
of Iran (referring to the Houthis)" on the fronts of Niham, Sarwah,
Al-Jawf, and al-Bayda, without mentioning the timing.
He stated that "Houthi militia suffered
hundreds of deaths during these confrontations, including military leaders and
experts from Hezbollah and Iran."
Continuous battles and Houthi losses
The Yemeni minister pointed out that "the
battles are still raging, while the Houthi militia is concealing its true
losses."
He stressed that "the battle with the
Persian project and its mercenaries from the Houthi militia is decisive and
crucial, and its inevitable result is victory."
Al-Iryani asked in a tweet on Tuesday,
February 4, 2020, the Yemeni people to trust in their military leadership,
saying, "Let everyone trust that our battle with the Persian project and
its mercenaries from the Houthi militia is a decisive battle and its inevitable
outcome, God willingly, is victory, and the requirements of the battle prevent
the provision of any information or disclosure of military secrets.
The Yemeni governor, Al-Jawf Amin al-Okimi,
denied what the Houthi group announced about its control of areas in the
governorate near the Saudi border.
This came in statements conveyed by the media
center of the Yemeni army, after a repeated talk by the Houthi group about its
control of sites and areas in Al-Jawf (Northeast).
Al-Okimi said, “Houthi militias have not
advanced a single inch in the areas previously liberated by the heroes of the
national army in the province, despite the large plan and the widespread attack
they launched to bring down the province from several axes."
He added: "The Houthi scheme has become
indifferent to them, for the men of al-Jawf and Yemen who are on the fronts of
the governorate and are lying close to them."
Yemen is witnessing a war for the sixth year
in a row between government forces, (the Yemeni National Army) supported by the
Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia on the one hand, and the militants of the
"Houthi" group, backed by Iran on the other hand, who control several
provinces, including Sanaa since 2014.
The war created difficult humanitarian and
health conditions, which left most of the population in need of assistance in
one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world, according to the United Nations.
