Iraq formulates strategy to totally eradicate ISIS
The end of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is approaching very quickly, especially after this terrorist organization tried to return to life, but in vain.
Attempts by the organization in this regard are
fuelling action by Iraqi security forces which are working to promulgate the
final destruction of ISIS in the coming period.
The Iraqi Counterterrorism Agency has formulated a
strategy to be executed over five years to eradicate terrorism all throughout
Iraq.
Iraqi security agencies also said they would beef up
security along Iraq's border with Syria to prevent ISIS terrorists from
sneaking into Iraq through this border.
Meanwhile, an ISIS terrorist had killed a tribal
leader in the northern Iraqi city of Saladin after trying to kidnap him.
Unidentified militants also killed a civilian activist near Iraqi capital
Baghdad.
Counterterrorism Agency Spokesman Sabah Numan said his
agency works to disband terrorist networks.
Our work also includes surveillance and assessment, he
added at a press briefing recently.
Numan revealed that the agency has prepared a plan for
its upgrade during the next three years.
He said it launched the Iraqi counterterrorism strategy
earlier this year.
The strategy, he said, would be executed over the next
five years.
Numan noted that his agency would also keep up the
fight against ISIS in the coming period with the aim of totally eradicating
this terrorist organization.
