Islamic-Christian Committee warns of Israeli plans on muffling Muslim call to prayer
The Islamic-Christian Committee to Support Occupied
Jerusalem and Holy Sites said that the Israeli plans targeting muffling Muslim
call to prayer in the mosques of Al Quds (occupied eastern Jerusalem) is a
dangerous crime against the sanctuaries in the city.
In a statement on Wednesday, the committee stressed
that the Muslim call to prayer is one of the characteristics of the city,
adding that its muffling is considered a violation to the city's sanctuaries.
The Secretary-General of the Committee Hanna Issa
underlined that the Israeli authorities seek to obliterate the Arab, Islamic
and Christian aspect of Al Quds via attacking mosques and churches and building
settlements.
He further warned of the grave consequences of these
racist laws and plans and their impact on increasing tension in the occupied
city.
