Qatar reports six new cases of coronavirus, total up to 24

Qatar reported on Tuesday six new coronavirus cases,
bringing the total number of cases detected in the country up to 24.
The health ministry said: “The new cases are all
expatriate residents, all of whom have had contact with the previously
announced community cases. The new patients have been admitted to the
Communicable Disease Center under complete isolation and the people they have
had contact with have also been checked and tested.”
Qatar banned on Monday the entry of people arriving
from 14 countries, namely: China, Egypt, India, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon,
Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Syria and
Thailand. Qatar Airways had previously suspended flights to and from Italy.
The country also announced on Monday will close
schools and universities until further notice.
