Leaked document says Qatar bans Hajj

THE REFERENCE obtained an official Qatari document
preventing Qataris from Hajj, banning travel to Saudi Arabia during the Hajj
season.
The document, which is claimed to be leaked
from Qatar's Interior Ministry, contained a signed pledge by a Qatari national
not to travel to Saudi Arabia for Hajj or Umra or for any other reasons between
Aug. 1 and Aug. 25.
Professor Abdel Halim Mansour, head of
Al-Azhar Sharia and Law Faculty, labeled the Qatari document as a violation of
Allah's orders and a war on Islam.
"This is injustice and oppression.
Qatar has politicized Hajj and mixed up politics with faith," professor Mansour
told THE REFERENCE.
