US security adviser accuses Iran of arming Hezbollah

White House national security adviser John
Bolton has accused Iran of providing Lebanon's Hezbollah with ballistic missile
program to transform its missiles into ballistic, exposing Tehran's suspicious role
in the region.
Bolton told Israeli daily newspaper Maariv that
US call for withdrawing Iranian troops from Syria also applies to Hezbollah
forces.
Commenting on the Iranian ties with
Hezbollah, Osama El-Hatimy, an expert on Iranian affairs, said Hezbollah is
like Iran's 'firstborn' political supporter.
"Hezbollah is reason why Iran interfered
in Syria in a bid to safeguard what it plans as 'the Shiite crescent' for an
Iranian empire," El-Hatimy told THE REFERENCE.
"That's why Iran
is keen on upgrading Hezbollah's arms," he added.
