I respect the choices of the environment minister, Macron says

In his first reaction to the resignation of the
environment minister, Macron announced at a press conference in Copenhagen with
the Danish prime minister that he respected the choices of the environment
minister and that he had chosen him as minister because he was a free man.
The president added that he has the intention to
continue to cooperate with the minister in other forms.
The Elysee presidential palace saluted Hulot, saying
that he “can be proud of his work” as minister
The government “has a total determination to
continue to take into account climate change and its impact on France and all
of humanity,” Prime Minister Edouard Philippe told reporters in Paris. He
pledged to work on the topics Hulot said had been insufficiently addressed.
