Despite the fact that the Joint Forces of Arab Coalition Supporting Legitimacy in Yemen- led by Saudi Arabia- have laid siege to Houthis￾controlled areas, Iran does not stop smuggling and transferring its weapons to the Houthi rebels. The Arab military forces forced closure of Houthis-controlled Sanaa Airport and banned the travel aviation to it. However, weapons and ammunition find other trafficking routes to reach the Iran-backed Houthis via sea ports overlooking the Red Sea. Province of Hajjah, which is bordered by the Red Sea in the north￾western Yemen, is the main destination to where Iranian weapons are smuggled , expert of Yemeni affairs Mahmoud Taher told al￾Margea. Taher added that neighboring country of Eretria, where an Iranian military bases exists, is considered the starting point of smuggling route that ends at Hajjah port. He continued that Houthis rebels receive trainings for using weapon, particularly the ballistic missiles, at the Iranian military base to use them against the joint Yemeni Resistance Forces. Hajjah coast along the Red Sea poses a major security challenge as it has uninhabited small islands and unknown spots that can be used easily for weapon smuggling via the sea.Although the Arab Coalition exert significant efforts to stop weapon smuggling amid the ongoing fight in Hodaidah , the Houthis militias hunt out other uninhabited areas to get Iranian cargos of weapons
