François de Rugy succeeds Hulot at the Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition

French President Emmanuel Macaron,
French President Emmanuel Macaron, in accordance
with the proposals of Prime Minister Edward Philippe, has appointed François de
Rugy, President of the National Assembly, as Minister for the Ecological and
Solidarity Transition, replacing Nicolas Hulot, who resigned last week on
August 28 , the Elysee website reported.
The president
has also appointed Roxana Maracineanu as sports minister, replacing Laura
Flessel, who has just resigned this morning on Tuesday, 4 September.
