French Senate slams Turkey's interventions on Libya

French Senator Natalie Jolie confirmed today, that Turkish intervention
in Libya has complicated the situation.
Jolie, in exclusive statements to "Sky News" news channel,
called on the Security Council to take a decision on Turkish policies.
She pointed out that Turkey is taking advantage of the so-called
"political Islam" forces to achieve political gains, and Erdogan also
takes advantage of the absence of a long-term international vision on Syria.
For his part, former Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini said, in
statements to Sky News, "The situation in Libya is dangerous and threatens
the whole region, and we seek to achieve reconciliation between the conflicting
Libyan parties."
Frattini added, "The role of Rome at this time is to pressure
Russia and Turkey to play a positive role to solve the Libyan crisis,"
explaining that the current position of Rome on the Libyan crisis is blurry and
this harms Italian interests.
He continued: "Rome should have explicitly asked Turkey to stop
interfering in the Libyan affairs, just as the Libyan government of
reconciliation should stop its attempts to advance towards Sirte and
Al-Jafra."
