Today...Al-Bawaba seminar to discuss terrorism, extremism in Arab states
The al-Bawaba News Institute will hold a seminar on
the fight against terrorism and extremism in the Arab region on September 3 in
cooperation with the embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Cairo.
The seminar will focus on Egypt and the UAE as
models for the fight against terrorism and extremism.

this phenomenon poses to security and stability in Arab societies.
The seminar is part of efforts to raise awareness among
Arab youth about the dangers of terrorism and extremism and means of fighting
them.

will require an active role by the cultural elite, in general.
This elite will have to play a major role in
spreading moderate thinking among the members of the public.

Parliament Abdel Rahim Ali who is the board chairman and the editor-in-chief of
al-Bawaba News and the director of the Center for Middle East Studies in Paris.
