15 Daesh militants, six SDF members killed in clashes in Deir al Zour countryside

Fifteen Daesh militants and six members of the US-backed
Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were killed in fierce clashes in the countryside
of Deir al Zour over the past 24 hours, Syrian sources said.
Fierce clashes between the two sides were centered in
Shaheel and Baghous areas, held by the SDF.
The Daesh militants launched a counter-offensive targeting
the SDF positions in the Hajin area in the eastern countryside of Deir al-Zour
province, the sources said.
The counter-attack comes after a wide-scale offensive was
launched by the SDF, with the support backing of the US-led coalition against
the last Daesh-held pocket in eastern Deir al Zour.
