political arm of the Brotherhood in Mauritania); against the backdrop of popular
rejection of the presence of the Brotherhood in Mauritania.

employment of religion in politics, or monopoly in favor of a particular
faction. He added that «Islamic religion belongs to the Mauritanian people in
all its components, and not to a particular party».

the Muslim Brotherhood in Mauritania, after sending a number of missions to the
center. In order to determine whether it is appropriate for the country's
educational curricula, its teaching methods and its sources of funding, to
reveal the relation between the center and the Brotherhood.

of scholars» led by the Brotherhood leader «Mohamed Hassan Ould Alddo», came
after the Friday sermon where Alddo promoted the ideas of the organization

decision to withdraw its license permanently. Revealing that Qatar finances all
the activities of the center; in addition to the support of businessmen
belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood in other countries.
The Mauritanian thinker and writer Ishaq Al-Kinti
called for the dissolution of the Brotherhood in Mauritania, asserting that the
"Brotherhood of Mauritania" is a branch of the International Muslim
Brotherhood.
Al-Kinti said in a press statement: "The
Mauritanian brothers are extremists, and they came out of the same abaya from
which Sayyed Qutb, Ayman al-Zawahiri and other extremists, who had resorted to
armed action, came out."
The Mauritanian thinker appealed Mauritanians, from all political directions,
to enter into an alliance against the "Muslim Brotherhood" that
penetrated through different segments of people, and took up arms against the
authorities; to divide the society on an ethnic basis.
