Al-Jazeera: The Lernean Hydra with Brotherhood, Qatari heads

Relations between the Muslim Brotherhood and the Qatari news channel, al-Jazeera, cannot be concealed any more.
The channel specifies
most of its coverage to the Brotherhood and its figures, including Qatari
sheikh Youssef al-Qaradawi.
Al-Jazeera also shows
unmistakable bias to the Brotherhood and its ideological offshoots, including
the Palestinian Hamas movement.
The Qatari channel used
what came to be known as WikiLeaks to tarnish the reputation of some Arab
regimes. However, it concealed all references in the leaks to Qatar and its
rulers.
Al-Jazeera also
glorifies Muslim Brotherhood theoretician Sayed Qotb.
This turned al-Jazeera
into the prime mouthpiece of the Brotherhood. It tried to help this Islamist
organization hijack the series of revolutions that happened within what came to
be known as the Arab Spring.
Qaradawi, who used to
introduce a religious program on al-Jazeera, used the program in mobilizing
Muslims around the Muslim Brotherhood. He tried to portray this terrorist
movement as the only legitimate one in the Arab region.
The Qatari channel
never verifies the news it broadcasts. It focuses only on people in the news,
in its bid to vilify these people.
In this, al-Jazeera
tries to serve Qatar's political agenda and political interests.
In covering feuds
between the Palestinian movements Fatah and Hamas, al-Jazeera did its best to
show Hamas as the only Palestinian movement resisting the Israeli occupation of
Palestinian land.
Al-Jazeera does not,
meanwhile, mention Hamas when there is violence against the members and the
officials of Fatah.
