Analyst expects Erdogan to get rid of Brotherhood to rescue his regime
Turkish authorities arrested 23 Muslim Brotherhood operatives recently and accused them of communicating with other countries in search of a safe refuge.
The
event raised speculation about the prospects of Muslim Brotherhood leaders now
in Turkey.
International
relations specialist Mohamed Rabie said, meanwhile, that the regime of Turkish
President Recep Tayyip Erdoan goes through a series of difficulties at present.
These
difficulties, he said, are induced by changes happening on the international
and regional scenes.
These
changes are leading to the weakening of the Turkish regime, al-Dehi told The
Reference.
He
added that the same changes have turned the Muslim brotherhood into a burden on
the shoulders of the Turkish regime.
This
is especially true, he said, as far as relations between Turkey and Arab
countries are concerned.
The
case for Turkey is now difficult especially after the latest reconciliation bid
between Qatar, on one hand, and moderate Arab states, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the
United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, on the other, al-Dehi said.
He
added that the Turkish opposition is not satisfied with relations between
Erdogan and the Muslim Brotherhood either.
This
is why the Turkish regime will try to get rid of the Muslim Brotherhood at any
cost in the coming period, al-Dehi said.
