Recapture of Hodeidah ends Iranian influence in Yemen

A Saudi-led coalition official said Tuesday that the
liberation of the western Yemeni port city of al-Hodeidah from control by the
Iran-backed Houthi militia will end Iranian influence in the whole of Yemen.
The Arab coalition works hard so that humanitarian
aid will flow into Yemen and reach those who need it, coalition spokesman Turki
al-Maliki added.
He revealed that the Houthis, who have been
controlling Hodeidah since 2015, had received painful blows in the western city
as well as in the northwestern city of Saada.
The Saudi-led Arab coalition has launched an all-out
military operation to recapture al-Hodeidah port to secure the delivery of
humanitarian aid to the Yemeni people.
UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr Anwar
Gargash said the operation would continue until the Houthi militia withdraws
from al-Hodeidah unconditionally.
The Houthis have turned the port into a hub for
smuggling Iranian arms and missiles into Yemen.
The UAE plans to send to Yemen ten ships, carrying
13,500 tons of food and 10,436 food parcels.
