The Emirati Red Crescent Authority has launched
an emergency relief bridge to Yemen consisting of 10 Emirati vessels
weighing 35,000 tons and laden with various foodstuffs. It also launched an
airlift covering 7 trips and carrying 14,000 food parcels for the Yemeni people.
The convoy of humanitarian, food and medical aid comes within the
framework of a land, sea and air bridge to relief the people of Hodeidah and the surrounding areas, and to restore life to the
province after three years of starvation and the Houthi siege. The UAE affirms its commitment to international humanitarian
law as well as its humanitarian commitment to the brotherly Yemeni people as
part of its long-term plan to help them meet their needs.
