Digital campaigns by Turkey target Morocco

Turkey was not satisfied with its economic profits
that it reaped from trade exchange with the countries of the Maghreb, but
rather sought to achieve its expansionist ambitions and political dreams, by
distorting the symbols of the Kingdom of Morocco, headed by King Mohammed VI.
This is what prompted Moroccan activists on various
social media sites; To join hands with their king and defend their kingdom by
launching electronic counter campaigns, and multiple hashtags carrying the
phrases "King Mohammed VI is a red line", "Our strength is in
our unity", and "We are all conscripted soldiers."
Polisario's online campaigns spread lies about the
killing of Moroccan soldiers and the confiscation of their weapons near the
Algerian border, to promote the existence of a war in the Sahara region, to
cover up the gains achieved by the Moroccan state, and these allegations cannot
be believed, due to the difficulty of the front's access to these areas except
through Algerian territory Which is considered a declaration of war from
Algeria against Morocco.
What confirms the lies of these campaigns is that
they did not document any of their allegations with pictures or videos, but on
the contrary, they used old photos that they attached to their false posts.
These suspicious campaigns also contain messages to
the United States that recognition of the Moroccan Sahara will spark a regional
war.
Turkey supports these campaigns in spite of the
Kingdom of Morocco, which was one of the first countries to respond to the
boycott of Turkish products last year and faced the Turkish commercial
invasion, especially after Morocco's trade deficit with Ankara increased from
4.4 billion dirhams in 2006 to 16 billion dirhams in 2018.
Turkey had previously colluded with activists in the
Islamic movement in Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia to launch a new television
channel broadcast from Ankara, with a capital of 200,000 euros, directed to the
countries of the Maghreb, especially Libya, Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia, in
order to improve the image of Erdogan and distort the governments in these
countries, including It is in favor of the Turkish conspiracy against this
region and fueling conflicts and strife in it.
