Two killed in blast targeting convoy of Iraqi investigation head

The Iraqi police said two persons were killed and
five others wounded in a bomb blast that targeted the convoy of head of the
criminal investigations department Qais Amer Naji in central Kirkuk in north of
Baghdad.
In a statement broadcast by Radio Sawa on Friday,
the police added that Naji was on his way to work when a bomb planted nearby
went off.
The explosion also caused damage to some shops, the
statement said.
