Iraqi security forces, backed by the Popular
Mobilization Units (PMUs), on Friday dismantled a terrorist cell in Mosul city
of Nineveh province.
One of the cell members was arrested in western
Mosul, the PMU media center said in a statement carried by the Iraqi News
Agency.
A number of weapons and military equipment were
seized within the course of the military operation, the statement added.
In a related context, the PMU's bomb disposal
experts have destroyed ten tunnels used by Daesh militants in western Diyala
province.
This comes as part of ongoing military operations to
purge Diyala of Daesh remnants and their sleeper cells.
