Western countries’ attitudes towards the terrorist
organization have been tainted by mistakes from the beginning, said lawmaker
Abdel Rahim Ali, the president of the Center for Middle East Studies in Paris
(CEMO) and the editor-in-chief of Al-Bawaba News at CEMO breakfast in Paris.
If these ideas are not countered, Ali said, they
spread into every corner of society and turn this society into a fertile soil
for extremism.
He continued “We have a real and major intellectual
battle in the Middle East as well as in Europe".
Lawmaker Abdel Rahim Ali gave a speech at the first monthly
breakfast held at the Prince de Gaulle Hotel in Paris, The event was attended
by distinguished elites of politicians and intelligence officials.
