The political and cultural life in Paris is characterized with the morning breakfast, which is organized by scientific institutes, decision-making centers and international businessmen.

Dr. Abdel Rahim Ali, President of the Center for Middle East Studies in Paris (CEMO), has decided to launch a monthly breakfast event entitled “CEMO Breakfast”.

The first monthly breakfast was held yesterday at the Prince de Gaulle Hotel in Paris, The event was attended by Dr. Ahmed Youssef, Executive Director of CEMO, in which he explained the Center’s ideas, as well as the activities of the Center in the coming period.

Dr. Abdul Rahim Ali delivered an speech on the importance of the strong state to fight terrorism.

After Ali’s speech, Dr. Ahmed Youssef conducted the discussion on the breakfast table in which Dr. Abdul Rahim Ali answered all the attendees’ questions.

Ali also talks about the importance of cooperation between the different bodies in Europe and the Arab world in fighting terrorism.

He added that we have to warn the Western decision-makers as well as public opinion to the danger of the Muslim Brotherhood, pointing that the Brotherhood control not only over 250 mosques but also they have financial capacity over 3 billion euros.

General John Francois, the professor of national security at the Sorbonne, said during CEMO Breakfast, that “The Anglo-Saxon country has long believed that it controls the Islamist groups, but it shows how dangerous these organizations are.

He also added “There is a report by the British intelligence services that criticized these policies”.

Francois mentioned there are serious deviations in the beliefs of these organizations, which are contrary to true Islam, which requires confronting them at the international level.

“We have centers specialized in study the Islamist movements in many countries such as Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and France” Dr. Abdul Rahim Ali said.

He pointed out that the first center was established in Egypt, Arab Institute for Research and Studies, established in 1998, specialized in study the terrorism and political Islam.

In his speech during CEMO Breakfast, Ali said that there is a center in the UAE for the study of political Islam and terrorism.

He pointed out that there is a center established in March 2017 in France also specialized in the study of political Islam.

Ali had a foresight about the Islamist movements, even before the events of September 11, 2001, which is a real disaster.

“Some Arab regimes believed that they could benefit from the presence of terrorist groups in Europe” the MP Abdul Rahim Ali, said in his responding to Terry lentez’s question on warning of terrorism after 25 years of its existence in Europe.

He continued “I warn of the existence of global groups, with their speech which can reach you through the Internet”.

Terry Lantz, professor of war history at the Sorbonne and director general of the Napoleon Foundation, said during CEMO Breakfast, why Abu Bakr, the dean of the Paris mosque in France, gave a speech warning of terrorism after 25 years, what are the reasons for waiting all this time to talk.

Abdel Rahim Ali said that the French state is fully informed and has very accurate information on funding individuals and groups belonging to the Islamists.

This was in response to Celin lousateau, head of the Middle East division of the French magazine L'Unovel Observateur, during CEMO breakfast in Paris on the extremists thought in France, and Is the French state or the intelligence in France aware of extremists thought?

Ali added that French President Emmanuel Macaron spoke of French Islam and brought some elements involved in terrorism belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood and the international organization known to the Arab intelligence of their affiliations and funding.

Ali said that the infrastructure of extremist ideas must be addressed first before addressing the superstructure.

“These groups will not only affect the Middle East, but they will go to every part of the world, and therefore the West is an essential target for these groups” Ali stressed in his speech during CEMO breakfast in Paris on Wednesday.

Ali announced that he will organize a seminar at the French military school on 22 November, on “International cooperation in fighting terrorism”.

In this seminar he will handle the intelligence and security cooperation to face terrorism.

The time has come to extend the bridge between the East and the West, which has fallen to continue our struggle together to create noble human values in which we face terrorism and any evil values, Ali said.

Western countries’ attitudes towards the terrorist organization have been tainted by mistakes from the beginning, said lawmaker Abdel Rahim Ali, the president of the Center for Middle East Studies in Paris (CEMO) and the editor-in-chief of Al-Bawaba News at CEMO breakfast in Paris.

If these ideas are not countered, Ali said, they spread into every corner of society and turn this society into a fertile soil for extremism.

He continued “We have a real and major intellectual battle in the Middle East as well as in Europe".

Erdogan hope of realizing his dream of being caliph, that a Brotherhood system can prevail in the whole world, said lawmaker Abdel Rahim Ali, He noted that the Brotherhood follows the same strategy in Europe by creating a halal (something that goes hand in hand with Islamic law) market.

It does the same here, he added, by controlling mosques, schools and spreading their ideology in all European capitals, in Munich, in Paris and in Brussels.

Ali warned against the devastating effects the Muslim Brotherhood's strategy will have on European values.

He referred to what he described as the "huge" funding the group receives from different countries.

The Brotherhood, he said, uses this funding in training one generation after another of terrorists.

He said the Brotherhood feeds terrorism by spreading hatred and extremism.

Ali also underlined at CEMO breakfast in French capital Paris the importance of staging an intellectual war on terrorism.

He underscored the need for countering scholars who appear on TV and propagate wrong ideas about the Islamic religion.

The meeting was attended by distinguished elite of politicians and intelligence officials in the Department of Counterterrorism at the Elysee Palace, John Francois Jiro: the general co-ordinator of the French intelligence in Elysee.
