Sisi to meet Germany's Merkel in Berlin on Tuesday

Egypt’s
President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi is set to head to Germany on Sunday for a busy
four day visit, where he will discuss cooperation in combating terrorism and
illegal migration.

statements to Al-Ahram, preidential spokesman Bassam Rady said El-Sisi is set
to meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and a number of senior German
officials.
This is
going to be El-Sisi’s sixth meeting with Germany’s Merkel since the Egyptian
President was sworn in as head of state in 2014.
The talks
will also include a focus on means of boosting ties, cooperating in different
fields, and increasing German investments in Egypt.
El-Sisi will
also participate in a mini summit with African leaders at the G20 summit.
Rady said
such a participation comes as an affirmation of the level of importance which
Egypt attaches to activate cooperation between African countries and the
countries of the G20 in different developmental fields in light of Egypt’s
chairmanship of the AU Summit next year.
