In a development that bears the hallmarks of the Iranian role through its arm in Lebanon, there have been bloody clashes between Palestinian factions, the Fatah movement and Hezbollah's Ansar Allah, in the Palestinian refugee camp Al-Miyya and Mieh, Lebanon.

These clashes, which resulted in the death and injury of nine people, reveal Iran's intention to export a new crisis to the Palestinian Authority for the benefit of its allies Ansar Allah and the Hamas and Islamic Jihad movements to deepen the Palestinian-Palestinian divide.

On the other hand, the Lebanese newspaper «the future», said that two elements in Fatah were killed in the clashes, and injured a Hamas representative in the Popular Committee inside the camp, Sheikh Ibrahim Salameh, in his efforts to cease fire.

On October 15, Al-Miyya and Mieh camp witnessed clashes between the Fatah and Ansar Allah movements prior to the truce on 22 of the same month to stop the fighting between the two movements in the camp after the intervention of security leaders The Lebanese army, and a number of leaders of the Palestinian factions.

Al Mieh and Mieh Camp

Miyama is a small camp of about 54 dunumh, and its land is leased by the Lebanese state to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) and was established in 1954 in Sidon, southern Lebanon.

At the level of the Palestinian factions in the camp, there is a tripartite control of the Miyama, part of which is controlled by Fatah and another controlled by Hamas, while the third is controlled by Ansar Allah.

Calm movements

On October 26, 2018, the headquarters of the Political Council of Hezbollah held a meeting of the delegations of Fateh and Ansar Allah. Fatah was represented by Major General Fathi Abu al-Aradat, Major General Subhi Abu Arab, Major General Munir al-Maqdah, Major General Munther Hamza, Maj. Gen. Hussein Fayyad, and the two generals Maher Shabaita and Nasser Asaad. "

On the Ansar Allah movement, Maher Awaid, Ibrahim al-Jeshi and Ahmed Khalil were present. They were greeted by a member of the political council of Hezbollah, the official of the Palestinian file Hassan Habibullah, his aide Atallah Hamoud, and the Saida official Zaid Daher .

The parties discussed the establishment of a ceasefire and the restoration of normalcy in the camp, which was signed in the office of the head of the so-called World Union of Resistance Scientists, Maher Hamoud, in the presence of Zaid Daher, a Hezbollah official in Sidon, And Bassam Kajak, head of the Amal movement in Sidon, and representatives of the Palestinian factions, in addition to intensive contacts in order to calm things, and to reach an immediate cease-fire and an end to the clashes.

Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh called on the movement's leadership in the camp to stop the clashes immediately to preserve the safety of the refugees. Haniyeh telephoned Lebanese Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri and Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri to intervene urgently to stop the clashes. , And promised to make every effort to stop the clashes.

Hezbollah's plan

The repetition of the conflict between the Palestinian factions is a success for Iran and Hezbollah's strategic project in ending any danger by the Palestinian armed factions inside the Palestinian camps in Lebanon.

The Lebanese writer Mounir Rabie discussed the struggle between Ansar al-Allah and Fatah in an article entitled "Battle of the Miyya and Mieh Camp, the finger of Hezbollah and the funds of UNRWA", published by the "City of Cities" website.

The conflict was a strategy carried out by the Lebanese Hezbollah Fearing any move in the Palestinian camps against him, which might block the road of the suburb of Beirut, the southern Lebanese stronghold of Hezbollah, against the backdrop of rising Sunni-Shiite tension in Lebanon.

He explained that Hezbollah's strategy of targeting the Palestinian camps was a great success after the assassination of the leader of the Fatah movement in Lebanon, Kamal Medhat, after he left the camp in May 2009, to drop the camp and the Palestinian camps in the cycle of conflict, violence and conflict so far, in the Ein al-Hilweh camp.

For his part, Lebanese political researcher Makram Rabah said: "Iran is trying to control the Palestinian decision by supporting the factions and weakening the Palestinian Authority."

In an exclusive statement to the «reference», Rabah added that the PLO lacks funds and budget. Hence, the Iranians are using the power to support the Palestinian factions and forces, which are circulating in Iranian astronomy.

The Lebanese political researcher: "All the clashes that took place in the camps, put the Palestinians in the face of the Lebanese state, although the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to lift the political cover of all camps; because in the case of conflict inside the camps does not lead to a crisis between Lebanon and the Authority,: «Iran is the biggest beneficiary of crises and armed problems in the Palestinian camps».
