Oil production in Kuwait-Saudi Arabia neutral zone to resume soon

Well-placed Kuwaiti sources uncovered that oil
production in a shared zone between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia is about to resume
in view of assurances of Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al Jubeir and serious
steps being taken by Kuwait.
In statements to MENA on Monday, the sources said
production will restart in Khafji and Wafra by the beginning of 2019 in view of
dire need for the region's oil to cover expected deficit in oil supply,
especially as US sanctions on Iran would be effective as of next month.
Production in Khafji and Wafra were halted in 2014
and 2015 respectively.
Kuwait Gulf Oil Company channeled 55 million dinars
for developing the two wells.
