Yemeni PM urges UN agencies to open offices in Aden

Yemeni Prime Minister Moein Abdulmalik discussed on
Tuesday with United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator for Yemen Lise Grande UN
efforts and projects related to humanitarian and relief work over the past
period.
Abdulmalik called on the UN agencies and other
international organizations to open their offices in Aden, which is temporary
capital of Yemen, in order to freely and easily work and deliver their aid to
the long-suffering Yemeni people.
UN operations from Sanaa have been negatively
affected because the place is still dominated by the Houthi militias, a matter
which interrupts the provision of badly needed international relief assistance
and basic services to many suffering Yemenis, the Yemeni premier added.
He pointed out that the Yemeni president affirmed
that the aid should be delivered to all Yemenis whether in the liberated
governorates or the ones under the control of Houthis.
Grande, for her part, lauded the Yemeni government's
cooperation with the UN agencies in facilitating their work in the war-torn
Arab country.
