17 Houthis killed, injured in clashes with Yemen's army in Al Bayda

Eleven Houthi militants were killed and six others
were injured in clashes with Yemen's army forces in Al Malagim district in the
central governorate of Al Bayda, said the military on its website.
The clashes erupted after a Houthi attempt to
infiltrate into a mountainous area in the governorate, the Yemeni army website
September.net quoted a military commander as saying.
Also in Al Bayda, Yemeni army artillery targeted a
Houthi gathering in Al Bayad area, killing and injuring a number of rebels.
military vehicles of the rebels were also destroyed in the attack, according to
the commander.
Yemen has been locked into a civil war since
Iran-backed Shiite Houthi militants overran much of the country and seized all
northern provinces, including the capital Sanaa, in 2014.
