Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas arrived here on
Friday to participate in the second edition of the World Youth Forum (WYF), at
the invitation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
South Sinai Governor Khaled Fouda and Palestinian
Ambassador in Cairo Diab al-Louh received the Palestinian leader upon his
arrival at the airport.
The WYF is set to be held from 3 to 6 November under
the auspices of President Sisi at the Red Sea resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh.
Some 5,000 young people, journalists, public figures
and officials from more than 50 countries across the world are set to
participate in this year's edition of the forum.
The event will focus on the themes of peace,
development and creativity, as well as various topics that reflect the visions
and aspirations of the world's youth.
It will also give participants the chance to
exchange their experience in the different fields, including development and
innovation.
