Sisi attends WYF session on social media

President Abdel Fattah EL Sisi attended on Monday a session on the impact of social media on daily life.

The session comes as part of the World Youth Forum that kicked off on Saturday.

A number of experts of social media will address the session which is held under the title of "Social Media: Saving or enslaving users?".

Among the session speakers is Mohamed Khairat, the founder of Egyptian Streets website. Khairat was named in 2018 "Forbes' 30 Under 30" persons in media and marketing.

The session will discuss the rapid development of social networking tools over the past period and its impact on daily life and family and personal relations.

The session will examine the impact of social media on the mental and psychiatric health of its users and how it can be used to market products of small projects.

Participants will discuss the abuse of social media by terrorist groups to spread their extremist doctrine and ways of fighting electronic crime.
