Armed Force open first phase of housing project in central Sinai

The Armed Forces on Thursday inaugurated the first
phase of a project to build a model village in central Sinai, in collaboration
with North Sinai governorate and the Sinai Development Authority.
The first phase, opened by the commander of the East
of the Suez Canal Counter-Terrorism military zone and the North Sinai governor,
include 30 typical Bedouin houses equipped with electrical appliances and all
facilities and services.
The project's second phase comprises the
construction of 70 Bedouin houses, each house with an area of 200 square
meters.
The Armed Forces had completed the expansion of a
traditional Bedouin celebration hall to accommodate 80 guests.
The military commander and North Sinai governor had
delivered contracts of new houses to a number of beneficiaries.
Also, the East of the Suez Canal Counter-Terrorism commander
reviewed efforts exerted by the Armed Forces to press ahead with the
development projects in the Sinai Peninsula, in parallel with the ongoing
military operation against terrorism.
For his part, North Sinai governor hailed current
cooperation and coordination with the Armed Forces and a number of
non-governmental organizations to carry out development and service projects
for Sinai residents.
