Turkey arrests 14 army personnel over 2016 coup attempt

Turkish authorities on Wednesday announced that out
of 17 persons wanted for their affiliation to the Fethullah Gülen movement, 14
persons had already been detained.
The detainees, who included current as well as ex
army personnel, were arrested upon an order issued by the public prosecution in
Manisa from 11 cities including Istanbul, İzmir,
Hatay Province and Diyarbakır.
Designated by Ankara as a terrorist organization,
the movement has been accused of orchestrating a failed military coup in July
2016.
