Syrian army shells Daesh controlled areas in Deir Ezzor

The Syrian army shelled Daesh-controlled areas in
the countryside of Deir Ezzor, according to a Syrian group monitoring the
Syrian war.
The bombardment left a number of Daesh terrorists
dead and injured, the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights was quoted
by BBC News as saying on Sunday.
The offensive followed the deployment of military
reinforcements to Al-Bukamal In anticipation of any attack by the terrorist
group, said the SOHR.
Meantime, the Syrian foreign ministry sent a message
to the UN and the UN Security Council, protesting a US-led coalition airstrike
that killed 26 civilians including children and women in Hajin. 110km east of
Deir Ezzor.
It termed the raid as "a fresh terrible crime
by the illegitimate coalition.
