Syrian army shells Daesh controlled areas in Deir Ezzor

The Syrian army shelled Daesh-controlled areas in the countryside of Deir Ezzor, according to a Syrian group monitoring the Syrian war.

The bombardment left a number of Daesh terrorists dead and injured, the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights was quoted by BBC News as saying on Sunday.

The offensive followed the deployment of military reinforcements to Al-Bukamal In anticipation of any attack by the terrorist group, said the SOHR.
