Kuwait, Iraq leaders discuss security of Baghdad, anti-terror efforts

Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al Ahmad al Jaber al Sabah
received Iraqi President Barham Salih on Sunday for talks on enhancing
cooperation between the two countries.
The visit comes upon an invitation from Sabah.
Talks tackled efforts to bring about security and
stability in Iraq and fight terrorism, said Minister of Emiri Affairs Sheikh
Ali Garah al Sabah.
The two sides also discussed regional and
international developments, he added.
The Kuwaiti emir hosted a luncheon in honor of the
Iraqi president.
Salih's visit to Kuwait comes as part of a tour, his
first since being elected.
The Iraqi president is accompanied by a high-level
delegation grouping many ministers in addition to the intelligence service
chief and Basra governor.
The regional tour will include the UAE and other
